TOURS FOR URBAN SPACE CREATORS
Professional trips focused on human-centered urban space and cycling.
Urban space creator tours are designed for citymakers and changemakers: professionals in urban development, decision-makers, and community leaders. We visit cities where multimodal transportation, urban nature, and quality of life work well together. We meet local professionals and policymakers and hold shared discussions.
All tours are curated and guided by an expert – you can choose from single-day tours within Estonia or 2–5-day trips abroad.Photo: Estonian landscape architects and students on an urban space creator bike tour in Helsinki, visiting the green roof of the Environmental House with Deputy Mayor Anni Sinnemäki and Chief Landscape Architect Maria Jaakkola (September 2024).

What is an urban space creator tour?
These tours are primarily intended for professionals shaping urban space: architects, landscape architects, geographers, urban planners, landscape builders, road engineers, urban ecologists, sociologists, and others. Community leaders are especially welcome. The diverse perspectives enrich our discussions and lay a solid foundation for future collaboration.
Group size is up to 10 people: 8 spots for professionals and 2 for students or young professionals*.
We ride at a relaxed pace but cover impressive distances. Aljona takes care of the logistics — you focus on gathering inspiration and building connections. Each day offers immersive experiences and engaging discussions that leave a lasting impact.
All tours take place during weekdays, making them suitable as professional work trips. You’re welcome to stay for the weekend after the tour for personal exploration.
Participants must cover personal expenses (travel, insurance, food).

Aljona Galazan is a landscape architect, event creator, lecturer, and a passionate enthusiast of architecture, design, public space, and urban cycling.Aljona’s “Why?”**
"My dream has always been to explore other cultures and visit the places I've read about in professional literature.
I’m curious about the ideas and solutions we could bring back to Estonia — how we might improve our cities to create inspiring, human-centered spaces. If it’s possible elsewhere, why not here? I had a feeling there were others who think like me — and want to learn from experiences abroad.
Participants of my first tour in Helsinki confirmed it: professional trips aren’t just interesting — they’re essential for all of us who live in and shape cities. As humans, we’re inherently creative — and sometimes, a change of scenery is exactly what we need to spark new ideas."
